VNS: VargaMesh Name Service and .vmesh

What is VNS?

The VargaMesh Name Service (VNS) maps human-readable .vmesh names to VargaMesh addresses and optional profiles. Supported wallets can resolve names, but a resolved name is not a cryptographic proof of the recipient’s identity.

Register a name

1. Open the official wallet or current VNS interface.
2. Check whether the name is available.
3. Review fees, expiration and the commit/reveal process before signing.
4. Confirm the registration on-chain and test resolution independently.

Pricing and renewal

The documented base registration/renewal price is currently 10 VMESH per year. Confirm the active VNS policy and wallet estimate before making a transaction.

Security notes

• Verify recipient details before meaningful payments.
• Watch for confusable names, look-alike characters and phishing links.
• Do not trust an unverified profile or screenshot alone.
