AuxPoW and BTC + VMESH merged mining
One mining process can provide proof for two independently validated blockchains.
How merged mining works
Auxiliary Proof of Work (AuxPoW) allows suitable SHA-256d parent-chain work to serve as proof for VargaMesh. This does not ensure a block on either chain. Bitcoin and VMESH each enforce their own consensus criteria.
BTC + VMESH Merged SOLO
Terminal / config
Stratum: stratum+tcp://mergedsolo.vargamesh.com:3950
Username: bc1YOUR_BTC_ADDRESS.worker1
Password: vm1YOUR_VMESH_ADDRESSThe sample reflects the documented credential mapping: BTC payout address in the username and VMESH address in the password. Pool fees and policies may change.
For implementers
- VMESH AuxPoW chain ID is
22093. - Mainnet supports AuxPoW from block 1.
- Mining templates and parent commitments need to match the chosen pool and daemon.
- BTC and VMESH block validation, payouts and confirmations remain separate.
Use the Core source and current mining page for integration details.
